Step 3: Goto “C:\Mongodb\bin” folder, and launch “mongod.exe” which is the primary daemon process for the MongoDB system. It handles data requests, manages data access, and performs background management operations. If the installer unpacks all the files in the “Mongodb” folder in the “Downloads” section, simply copy the folder to C drive so that the path to your installations is “C:\Mongodb” msi package and follow the installation process to unpack the files on your local C: drive. If you are unsure of weather your OS is 32-bit or 64-bit, right click on ‘This PC’ or ‘My Computer’ and see under the ‘System’ tab. Make sure you install the right file, based on your Operating System (OS). Step 1: Go to downloads area of MongoDB website ( ) and download the windows installater package (.msi) file.
